Job Summary:

The Digital Health and Data Analytics Associate Officer supports data collection quality assurance and data transmission processes to generate reliable insights for the organization. He/she serves as a key operational link between site-level data systems and the central database.

This role requires close collaboration with SI&E staff to ensure data quality accuracy and compliance with established standards.

 

No two days are alike at EGPAF but what can you expect in this role

Key Responsibilities and Accountabilities

Data Collection and Entry:

  • Coordinate data collection from sites and ensure adherence to data submission schedules.
  • Coordinate data entry checks and validate initial completeness.
  • Maintain update and troubleshoot data systems in collaboration with technical teams.

Data Transmission and Data Synchronization:

  • Coordinate the full data transmission and synchronization process.
  • Support the verification of the completeness accuracy and quality of incoming data before use.
  • Troubleshoot transmission issues and escalate complex problems to the IT/SI&E teams.
  • Monitor and report key performance indicators (completeness timeliness accuracy).

Data Cleaning and Preparation:

  • Identify and correct data quality issues (missing values duplicates inconsistencies).
  • Prepare and transform datasets to support analysis.
  • Develop and maintain data quality tools to detect and highlight inconsistencies.

Basic Data Analysis:

  • Perform statistical analyses to support donor reporting and internal program needs.
  • Assist in creating summary reports visualizations and charts to communicate insights to stakeholders.
  • Produce insightdriven analytical briefs when required.
  • Monitor key data quality indicators and recommend corrective actions.

Support Data Projects:

  • Lead the implementation and monitoring of selected digital health tools across project sites.
  • Gather data requirements from stakeholders to understand their needs and support relevant analysis.
  • Contribute to the development and refinement of SOPs DQAs and data governance processes.
  • Support capacity building of site staff on data quality standards and digital health tools.

Qualifications :

 To be successful you will need to have:

Required Qualifications and key Competencies:

  • Bachelors degree in data science Statistics Information Technology Mathematics or a related field.
  • Relevant coursework or certifications in data analytics data science or business intelligence is a plus.
  • At least 2 years of relevant experience supporting data management or digital health activities.
  • Experience supports PEPFAR-funded projects.
  • Familiar with the HIV/AIDS projects in Cameroon.
  • Familiarity with data analysis tools such as Excel SQL Power BI Tableau.
  • Experience with the DHIS2 suite
  • Basic understanding of statistical methods and data quality techniques.

  • Strong attention to detail with a focus on data accuracy and consistency.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
  • Ability to work under supervision and manage time effectively.
  • Analytical thinker with problem-solving abilities.
  • Eager to learn and develop data analysis skills.
  • Organized proactive and able to handle multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
  • Data management and data quality assurance
