What this role means to us:
In this role you willoperateas aDigital PerformanceMarketingAnalyst (Brand and Marketing Specialist) embedded within theCustomer TouchpointsTribe where you will lead the development and execution of advanceddata-driven digital marketing strategies that directly support Air New Zealandspost-booking and pre-travelcustomer journeys.
You will work at the intersection of behaviouralanalytics marketingtechnologyandcustomer centricmarketing using data to inform strategy optimise performance(largely acrossour owned and direct channels)and enable more personalised and effective customer communications.
This is a highly technical role requiring a curious mindsetstrong SQL skills and confidence working with large enterprise datasetsand marketing platforms. You will work closely with AnalyticsEngineering Martechand othercrafts /squads todevelop the audience and channel strategyandperform deep-dive analysis translatinginsights into clear recommendations and actions.
Skills & Experience:
- 7 years experience in customer digital or marketing analytics within a complex enterprise environment.
- Advanced SQL capability with strong hands-on experience in Snowflake or comparable cloud data warehouses.
- Experience working with large event-level datasets to drive segmentationautomationand performance optimisation.
- Proven experience enabling marketing automationpersonalisationand experimentation across communication platforms (e.g. Braze) CDPs () analytics and experimentation tools (e.g. Google Analytics Optimizely) and modern data ecosystems (e.g. SnowflakeBigQuerydbt).
- Strong understanding of data modelling for activationmeasurementand scalable design.
- Experience designing or supporting structured experimentation frameworks (A/B testing test-and-learn).
- Demonstrated ability to translate complex analysis into clear commercially grounded insights and recommendations.
- Experience partnering cross-functionally with Marketing Martech and Data teams.
- Proven ability to influence without authority and act as a senior analytical voice within a squad or tribe.
- Solid understanding of customer data governanceprivacyand data protection regulations.
Desirable:
- Familiarity with AI applications in marketing automation next-best-actionmodelsor customer intelligence platforms.
- Experience working in Agile delivery environments or scaled enterprise marketing squads.
