As the lead regulator for land transport it is essential for us to provide a system that is safe efficient effective and operates in the public interest. Safety is a top priority for NZ Transport Agency Waka Kotahi and we as Te Rōpū Waeture (the Regulatory Services group) aim to improve safety and reduce the risk of harm by being a firm and fair real-world regulator.
Within this role you will be providing and delivering information analytical insights and strategic analytical advice. You will be skilled at interpreting data analysing information and reporting. It will be important for you to have exceptional relationship management skills and be able to navigate ambiguity with ease

We are seeking to appoint at a salary between $110000 - $133700 commensurate to skills and experience.

To be successful in this role you will bring:
You will demonstrate knowledge of or a willingness to gain an understanding of Te Ao Māori and promote tikanga and Te Reo Māori. You will also have knowledge of or a willingness to gain an appreciation of te Tiriti o Waitangi (the Treaty of Waitangi) as it applies in the public sector.

Provideoversight of the effectiveness of regulatory interventions on outcomes.
Informrelevant and responsive regulation by regular monitoring and review.
Ensureeffective compliance monitoring and management processes of regulated parties to enable system access for people devices and networks by risk targeted and cost-effective regulatory management of the land transport system.
