About the role
Legacy Underwriting Managers is seeking a meticulous and versatile Human Resources and Compliance Officer to join our growing team on a full-time basis in our Lynnwood offices. This position is ideal for a self-motivated professional who enjoys working across multiple business disciplines and can effectively execute a wide range of administrative and operational tasks. You will play a key role in ensuring our compliance standards human resources processes and basic finance functions are maintained at a high level whilst managing our needs regarding psychometric testing and strategic development of our personnel corps.
Duties & Responsibilities
Duties:
- Manage psychometric testing for all personnel.
- Maintain and update company human resources documentation and records.
- Ensure policies and procedures for complying with Information Regulation of the company in sharing of personal information and security is in place and up to date.
- Assist with monitoring and supporting BEE compliance.
- Facilitate the full recruitment lifecycle: from job specification advert creation through interview coordination and final documentation.
- Manage and execute employee onboarding and induction.
- Monthly payroll coordination and leave administration including PAYE calculations and payments.
- Manage agent commission payments.
- Support performance management and disciplinary processes.
- Maintain accurate and confidential employee records.
- Ensure compliance with human resources policies and labor legislation.
- Ensure timely and accurate human resources financial transaction recording and basic financial administration support.
Desired Experience & Qualification
Requirements:
Education:
- Degree / Diploma in human resources or similar.
Experience & Skills Required:
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in both basic finance and human resources functions.
- Registered with HPCSA as a Psychometrist will be beneficial.
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (especially Excel) and human resources financial software including SimplePay.
- Strong organizational and time management skills.
- Training - team building skills and strategic thinking.
