What youll build

The ABAP Infrastructure Platforms team is expanding its global Operations footprint to Bangalore and is seeking a skilled DevOps Engineer to join its global operations this role you will work independently on key operational responsibilities while collaborating closely with engineering teams in India the USA and Germany. You will play a critical role in ensuring the stability availability and lifecycle management of ABAP Cloud systems running on SAPs cloud infrastructure.

Monitor and maintain system health performance and availability across global ABAP Cloud tenants.

Manage incidents end-to-end including initial root-cause analysis and collaborate with senior engineers and development teams for resolution.

Execute upgrades patches and lifecycle management activities following established runbooks and operational guidelines.

Support tenant provisioning deprovisioning and recovery or rollback activities as needed.

Develop maintain and enhance automation scripts and operational tools using Python Jenkins and related technologies.

Collaborate with development teams to support deployments integrations and operational readiness for ABAP-based cloud applications.

Contribute to operational documentation knowledge sharing and continuous improvement initiatives.

Participate in shift rotations including US shift hours to support global operations and customer needs.

What you will bring

46 years of experience in DevOps cloud operations or similar technical roles.

Strong experience in system monitoring troubleshooting and incident management.

Exposure to scripting and automation tools like Python Shell Jenkins etc.

Working knowledge of monitoring frameworks like Grafana.

Exposure to containerization technologies (Docker Kubernetes) and cloud platforms (Azure AWS or GCP).

Strong communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively with global crossfunctional teams.

A structured analytical approach to problem-solving.

Nice to have: Experience working with SAP BTP or ABAPbased cloud environments.
