Were an established experienced provider dedicated to transforming the lives of young people aged 16-21 with complex support needs. Our mission is to empower these young individuals to develop essential living skills achieve independence and thrive within their communities.
Who Were Looking For;
We are seeking dedicated Housing Support Workers to join our team working with young people aged 1621 across Lewisham Nest which includes our services in Amersham and Northover.
Amersham is an Ofsted-regulated service specifically supporting young people aged 1617.
What Youll Do
As a Housing Support Worker youll be at the forefront of this transformation;
Your role will be varied and impactful including:
Empowering Young People - Provide face-to-face support life coaching and develop meaningful activity programmes tailored to each individuals needs.
Building Independence - Help young people develop the skills they need for independent living from managing finances to cooking and cleaning.
Community Engagement - Foster strong relationships with the local community ensuring our young people feel connected and supported.
Trauma-Informed Support - Offer emotional and psychological support understanding the unique backgrounds and experiences of each young person.
Life Strategies - Guide young people in making future life choices ensuring they have the tools and confidence to succeed.
Providing direct housing-related support services in partnership with Nacro housing and property management.
Working collaboratively with external agencies to achieve successful move-on plans and measurable outcomes.
Supporting young people both independently in the community and within the service setting.
Support and Benefits - Assist young people with completing social welfare benefit applications and attending relevant meetings to secure financial stability.
Property Management - Ensure our properties meet high standards conduct health and safety checks and manage maintenance issues promptly.
Rent Collection - Monitor and maximize rent collection taking proactive steps to address any arrears in line with our policies.
Safeguarding - Respond promptly and responsibly to any safeguarding matters ensuring the safety and well-being of our young residents.
Who You Are
Enthusiastic and Inspiring - You bring energy and passion to your work inspiring young people to engage with their support packages and achieve their goals.
Community-Savvy - You have a good understanding of the local area and can build positive relationships within the community.
Independent and Proactive - Comfortable working on your own in the community and at various hub locations youre proactive in ensuring all tasks are completed effectively.
Housing Experience Essential for this role.
