Tasks
1. Operational Excellence & HRIS (Keka Expert):
- System Ownership: Serve as the super-admin for Keka/HRMS ensuring 100% data integrity across the employee lifecycle (Onboarding to Offboarding).
- Process Automation: Identify bottlenecks in HR workflows and implement automated solutions to reduce manual intervention in payroll leave and attendance management.
- Compliance: Ensure the organization is 100% compliant with Indian Labor Laws (PF ESI PT LWF) and internal audit standards.
- Policy Design: Draft and periodically update employee handbooks and policies that reflect a modern flexible startup culture.
2. Strategic Talent Management:
- Talent Acquisition Support: Partner with the TA team to ensure a gold-standard candidate experience and smooth transition into the onboarding phase.
- Performance Management: Lead the OKR/KPI setting process. Own the annual and mid-year appraisal cycles ensuring they are meritocratic and transparent.
- Employee Engagement: Move beyond birthday celebrations. Design high-impact engagement initiatives based on eNPS (Employee Net Promoter Score) and sentiment analysis.
- Learning & Development: Identify skill gaps and coordinate with department heads to implement technical and leadership training programs.
3. Data-Driven Insights & Analytics
- HR Dashboarding: Create and present monthly HR reports (Attrition trends Time-to-hire Cost-per-hire Diversity metrics).
- Predictive Analytics: Use data to predict flight risks and proactively design retention strategies for high-potential employees.
- Budgeting: Manage the HR budget including compensation benchmarking and benefits optimization to stay competitive in the Bangalore startup market.
Requirements
Skill sets/Experience we require:
- Experience: 5 years in HR with at least 2 years in a Unicorn or profitable startup.
- Tech Stack: Expert-level proficiency in Keka (or similar tools like Darwinbox/Zoho). Advanced MS Excel/Google Sheets skills are non-negotiable.
- People oriented and results driven
- Demonstrable experience with human resources metrics
- Excellent active listening negotiation and presentation skills
- Competence to build and effectively manage interpersonal relationships at all levels of the company
- In-depth knowledge of labor law and HR best practices
