Our client is looking for a Hotel Maintenance Manager to join their team.

Responsibilities:
- Oversee day-to-day maintenance of hotel facilities including guest rooms public areas kitchens laundry and staff areas.
- Ensure reliable operation of electrical systems plumbing HVAC generators borehole and water systems and building structures.
- Respond promptly to maintenance requests and emergency breakdowns.
- Develop and implement preventive maintenance schedules suitable for local conditions (power fluctuations water shortages seasonal wear).
- Supervise train and discipline maintenance staff in line with Zimbabwe Labour Act requirements.
- Prepare duty rosters manage leave and ensure adequate staff coverage.
- Promote a culture of safety accountability and professionalism.
- Prepare and control the maintenance budget.
- Source local suppliers spare parts and services cost-effectively.
- Obtain quotations and oversee contractors for specialized works.
- Liaise with ZESA local authorities fire services and approved contractors.
- Supervise outsourced works to ensure quality safety and timely completion.
- Work closely with Front Office Housekeeping and Food & Beverage departments to resolve maintenance issues efficiently.
- Minimize guest inconvenience during repairs and renovations.
Key Skills:
- Strong technical knowledge of hotel plant and equipment.
- Practical problem-solving skills and ability to work under pressure.
- Good leadership communication and organizational skills.
- Computer literacy for reporting and record-keeping.
- Knowledge of local suppliers and service providers is an advantage.
Qualifications:
- Diploma or Degree in Engineering Building Technology Facilities Management or a related field.
- Trade certification (Electrician Plumber Refrigeration & Air Conditioning) is an added advantage.
- Minimum 3 5 years experience in hotel lodge or commercial property maintenance.
- Supervisory experience preferred
