Griffith University is seeking to engage a locally based consultant to undertake marketing and agent support activities for the recruitment of international students. Griffith University has a long and highly valued relationship with the Sub-Saharan Africa through research and collaboration and an ever-growing network of alumni. With a locally based representative Griffith International will provide increased support to its education agents and strategic partners enhance the standing of the Universitys profile and assist with the recruitment of students and provision of international student support.
This is a full-time two year appointment based in Zimbabwe and will require travel throughout the region including some overseas travel.
The role:
The consultant is responsible for the development and implementation of marketing plans and initiatives to support the recruitment of international students from the Sub-Saharan Africa. The consultant will work closely with the Regional Marketing Director to support and manage the Universitys agent network and strategic partners and stakeholders in effectively counselling and supporting new students in their decision and plans to undertake study at Griffith University.
The person:
The successful consultant will hold a relevant tertiary qualification and subsequent relevant experience in international education recruitment. They will have experience in the development and implementation of international marketing plans in the education sector and the ability to identify and develop student recruitment opportunities. The contractor must possess detailed knowledge of the Australian international and higher education sector and its regulatory framework and have the ability to work under broad direction. The contractor will possess exceptional interpersonal skills including strong oral and written communication and consultation and negotiation skills as well as the ability to operate successfully in a cross-cultural environment.
The right candidate will be able to manage their day-to-day workload under broad direction as an overseas-based member of the Griffith International marketing team. The consultant must hold or be able to obtain a valid work permit for Zimbabwe.
Salary Range:
A competitive remuneration package will be negotiated on a fee for service basis with the successful consultant. This is not an expatriate package position.
