Job Summary
Assistant Director (at the rank of Administrative Assistant I (AAI)) (two posts) in the Admissions Office of the Registry (Ref.: 534372)
We are looking for two Assistant Directors to join the Admissions Office of the Registry.
The Role
For post 1 : The appointee will play a versatile role in leading the team in student admissions. He/She will be required to collaborate with different teams and offices to facilitate effective communication with different stakeholders including Faculties and Departments applicants and external organizations. The appointee shall have excellent presentation skills and be a strong team leader to motivate the team members to achieve the admissions target. He/she will assist the Director in the development and implementation of strategic outreach plans and events to promote the Universitys undergraduate admissions to high school students provide secretarial support and reports to committee follow-up with students queries and perform any other duties as assigned.
For post 2 : The appointee will play an important role in formulating marketing and promotional strategies for the Universitys branding in different markets for Undergraduate Admissions. Experience in brand-building and project management in local/overseas universities is preferred. He/She will lead the marketing team for the recruitment of UG students in Hong Kong Mainland China and overseas. He/She will be well-versed in different marketing and communication platforms and has experience in devising effective promotional tactics and strategies for students/parents with different cultures and backgrounds. The appointee will also be required to collaborate with different teams and offices to facilitate the Offices communication with different stakeholders such as Faculties and departments applicants and external organizations on admissions-related matters and perform any other duties as assigned.
Qualifications and Qualities
Applicants should have a good University degree and at least 10 years work experience in the education or related sector of which at least 5 years should be at supervisory or management level. They should have an excellent command of English and Chinese (both oral and written) be a good team leader and player and have strong organisational and interpersonal skills. They should also be able to demonstrate capacity for independent action and initiative. Experience in admissions administration in tertiary institutions is preferred.
What We Offer
The appointment will be made on a full-time fixed-term contract for 2 years to commence as soon as possible. A highly competitive salary commensurate with qualifications and experience will be offered in addition to annual leave and medical benefits. The appointment will attract a contract-end gratuity and University contribution to a retirement benefits scheme totalling up to 15% of basic salary.
