Role Overview
As an Assortment Maintenance Expert at METRO GSC you will play a key role in supporting Offer management function when it gets to assortment management. You will conduct external market screening perform desktop research and prepare category review materials (including analytics). This position requires strong analytical skills attention to detail and the ability to work collaboratively across teams.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct external market screening to identify trends opportunities/risks for assortment optimization
- Perform desktop research and provide data analytics to support business decisions
- Prepare category review decks synthesizing market data internal performance and customer insights for business stakeholders
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align activities with business objectives
- Contribute to the continuous improvement of the GSC process related to assortment maintenance and market insights
Continuous Improvement
- Proactively identify process improvement opportunities and implement effective solutions.
- Enhance efficiency and optimize service delivery within GSC
Skills & Competencies
- Strong analytical mindset with expertise in market research and assortment data analysis
- Highly organized with a structured approach and strong attention to detail
- Effective time management skills; adaptable and able to work in a fast-paced environment
- Advanced data analytics skills including processing and transformation of large datasets
- Collaborative eager to learn and a clear communicator
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (Excel PowerPoint)
- Excellent communication skills both written and verbal
- Demonstrated ability in project management and coordination
- Fluency in professional English
Qualifications :
- Bachelors or Masters degree in Business Economics or a related field.
- 3-5 years of relevant experience in category management procurement analytics or similar roles
- Experience in retail wholesale or FMCG industries is a strong plus
- Exposure to international or multi-market environments is an advantage
