JOB SUMMARY:
The Junior HR & People Operations Officer supports the delivery of smooth responsive and well-organised HR services across Access Offshoring. This role is ideal for a graduate or early-career HR professional who is eager to build strong foundations in people operations employee experience and HR administration within a fast-growing offshore recruitment company.
The role is highly operational and people-facing acting as a first point of contact for employee enquiries supporting onboarding and IT coordination administering leave and HR processes and helping drive employee engagement initiatives.
During a maternity leave period this role will temporarily manage end-to-end onboarding (including IT coordination). As the team evolves the role will remain a core support function within HR growing in scope and responsibility over time.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
1. Employee Enquiries & Ticketing System
Own and manage the HR ticketing system for all employee enquiries
Act as the first point of contact for HR-related questions (leave policies onboarding systems general HR support)
Triage respond to or escalate enquiries to the appropriate HR team member
Ensure timely responses and positive employee experience
Identify recurring issues and flag trends or improvement opportunities to HR leadership
2. HR Administration & Leave Management
Support day-to-day HR administration across the employee lifecycle
Process and track employee leave requests in line with policy
Maintain accurate employee records files and HR systems
Assist with preparation of contracts HR letters and documentation
Support payroll-related inputs as required (leave data starters leavers)
Ensure HR data is accurate organised and up to date
3. Onboarding & IT Coordination (Primary During Maternity Leave)
Coordinate end-to-end onboarding for new hires across the business
Manage onboarding schedules documentation and checklists
Coordinate with IT and internal teams for:
System access
Equipment deployment
Account setup and permissions
Track IT asset allocation and return (laptops equipment system access)
Ensure new starters feel welcomed informed and supported
Monitor onboarding completion and follow up on outstanding items
When the team member on maternity leave returns onboarding responsibilities will transition back with this role continuing to support onboarding coordination and IT tracking.
4. IT Deployment & Tracking Support
Assist with coordination of IT setup for new hires
Maintain tracking of IT assets access and handovers
Support offboarding coordination from an IT perspective when required
Liaise with IT or vendors to ensure issues are resolved promptly
Help ensure compliance and accountability around systems and equipment
5. Employee Engagement & Culture Support
Support employee engagement initiatives across the organisation
Assist with planning and coordination of:
Company town halls
Team events and engagement activities
Internal campaigns and celebrations
Send employee surveys and pulse checks
Track responses and support follow-up actions
Stay connected to team sentiment through internal chat channels and communications
Help reinforce a positive inclusive and connected culture
6. Communication & Coordination
Communicate clearly and professionally with employees at all levels
Support internal HR communications and updates
Coordinate with internal teams to support people-related processes
Build trusted relationships with employees as a supportive HR contact
7. Learning Development & Continuous Improvement
Develop practical HR experience across people operations and engagement
Support improvement of HR processes templates and documentation
Assist with HR projects as the business grows
Learn and grow into more responsibility as Access Offshoring scales
Requirements
Essential
Degree or qualification in Human Resources Psychology Business or related field
Strong written and verbal communication skills
High attention to detail and organisation
Confidence interacting with employees and handling enquiries
Ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities
Professional discreet and trustworthy when handling sensitive information
Desirable
Internship or junior experience in HR or administration
Exposure to HR systems or ticketing systems
Interest in employee engagement and culture
Experience in a fast-paced or service-based environment
