Our Client is an Australian commercial construction and project management company The provides end-to-end construction and project delivery services focusing on civil commercial and infrastructure projects

JOB SUMMARY:

The role is responsible for preparing accurate cost estimates coordinating subcontractor pricing and supporting tender submissions across commercial and government construction projects in NSW Australia.

This position suits someone who is analytical experienced with Australian construction practices and trades and confident producing detailed quantity take-offs and first-principles pricing.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

Estimating & Cost Planning

Undertake detailed quantity take-offs from drawings and specifications.
Prepare comprehensive Bills of Quantities (BOQs) for tender submissions.
Develop first-principles cost estimates including labour materials plant and subcontract costs.
Review drawings specifications and contract documentation to identify scope requirements and risks.
Assist in pricing variations and cost planning during project development.

Subcontractor & Supplier Coordination

Prepare clear scope packages for subcontractor pricing.
Advertise projects and manage subcontractor pricing through EstimateOne (or similar platforms).
Analyse and level subcontractor quotations to ensure scope completeness and value for money.
Maintain relationships with key subcontractors and suppliers across Australian trade markets.

Tender & Submission Support

Compile pricing summaries tender clarifications and submission documentation.
Prepare letters of offer cost schedules and supporting tender documentation.
Support internal tender reviews and risk assessments.
Able to produce tender programs via Microsoft Project

Systems & Reporting

Develop and maintain estimating spreadsheets and pricing databases using Microsoft Excel.
Maintain accurate cost records and historical pricing data.
Contribute to continuous improvement of estimating systems templates and processes.

Requirements

SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS:

Experience working with Australian construction companies subcontractors and trade pricing.
Demonstrated experience completing quantity take-offs and detailed BOQs.
Experience preparing first-principles estimates for commercial construction projects.
Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel
Experience using EstimateOne or similar tender platforms Easy to learn
Ability to interpret construction drawings specifications and contract documentation.
Excellent communication and organisational skills.
High attention to detail with strong commercial awareness.
