About the role:
The M&A Operations team consists of c.250expertswhoadvise clients on the operational and strategic aspects of merger and acquisition (M&A) projects acting as a strategic and trusted advisor to both Corporate and Private Equity clients on transactions ranging from 50 million to over 5 billion. M&A Operations is a market leading team that sits within PwCs Strategy&Value CreationBusiness Unit and providesa highly complex fast paced challenging yet rewarding environment for those who aspire to grow and develop in their careers.Within M&A Operations sits the Integration team a specialist group ofprofessionalsworking cross-sector and focused specifically on supporting clients through complex integration programmes.
As a Senior Manager in the M&AOperationsIntegration team you will lead complex integration engagements across the full deal lifecyclefrom pre-deal to post-deal supportingclients to realise and maximisevalue from acquisitions. You will shape integration strategies design and execute integration programmes and act as a trusted advisor to senior stakeholders. The role offers exposure to high-profile transactions across a range of sectors alongside responsibility for business development teamleadershipand capability building.

What your days will look like:
You will help our clients focus on the right priorities at the right time in their M&A integration projects.You will act asatrustedadvisortoexecutiveteamstakingownership ofintegrationstrategyandexecutionoutcomesengaging deeply with our clients to define integration strategies and target operating models to deliver in line with the deal value case. As a Senior Manager in the M&A Integration team your role responsibilities willlargely cover:
Understanding core capabilities within buyer and target organisations to develop integration strategies that both protect and create value creatinga common understandingamongst executive stakeholders on the strategyapproachand plan for integration.
Developingthe operating model for thecombinedbusiness anddefining the level of integrationacross business functions.
Designbuildand deliverclient integration programmes including strategy definition target operating model value creation (synergy) assessment integration planning (Day 1 and 100-Day) and post-acquisition execution.
Manage day-to-day client interactions working with C-suite executives and their teams to deliver high-quality work and relevant recommendations.
Manage and deliver projectsand attimes multiple projectssimultaneously by developing the project team assessing engagement risks throughout driving conclusions and reviewing / challenging the output produced by the team
Lead the creation of proposals and client presentations in collaboration with other PwC functional and sector teams.
Drive the growth of the M&A Integration team by forging strong business relationships with clients.
Collaborate with the team to build and share knowledge support the continuous development of best practices and introduce relevantnew ideas(e.g. digital tools).
Lead practice development initiatives and act as a role model to coach and develop team members.
This role is for you if:
Extensivepracticalexperience developing M&A integration strategy and planssynergyassessment and development designing and implementing target operating models and executing business transformation projects or performance improvement in the context of M&A/deals.
Prior experienced in a consultingenvironmentispreferredand/or experiencewithin an in-houseM&A integrationor corporatedevelopmentteam.
Demonstrateabilitytopracticallyarticulatelessonslearned frompriorM&Aintegrationprojects includingwhat worked what did notand howthose insights haveshaped futureapproaches andoutcomes.
Strongknowledgeof business strategy operational transformation and value creation with theability to usedataanalyticsand insight-led thinking toshapeexecutive-level decisions.
Strongproblem-solvingskills withthe ability tostructurecomplexissuessynthesiselargevolumes ofinformation anddriveteams towardsclearcredibleandexecutable solutions.
Strong communicationand facilitation skills helping to assimilate andtodistillarge amountsof complex information to resolve problems and reach a consensus around credible and executable solutions.
Excellent interpersonal skillsand leadership skills with theabilitytoleadbyexample coach teams andmanage multiple stakeholdersacrossclientsandinternalteams.
Ability or willingness tocontinue developingskillsin AIdigitaldata-enabledintegrationapproaches.
