Dynamics of the Role

This role is central to driving modernization efforts across the organization. The Program Manager will serve as a strategic anchor for transformation initiatives ensuring alignment across departments regulatory compliance and timely execution of critical programs. The role demands strong leadership cross-functional coordination and a deep understanding of technology finance and regulatory landscapes. Without this role modernization timelines may slip regulatory risks could escalate and financial project and operational planning may lack cohesion.

What Youll Bring:

Roles & Responsibilities

Responsibility 1: Technical Lead

Lead the design development and evolution of a scalable API Marketplace platform.

Define and enforce API architecture standards (REST/GraphQL versioning security documentation).

Make key technical decisions on frameworks tools integrations and cloud infrastructure.

Ensure APIs are highly available performant secure and developer friendly.

Set technical direction coding standards and best practices.

Conduct design reviews code reviews and architecture discussions.

Foster a culture of engineering excellence ownership and continuous improvement

Responsibility 2: Agile Planning & Execution

Track PI (Program Increment) planning across the department ensuring alignment with business goals and delivery timelines. Facilitate agile ceremonies and support teams in resolving dependencies and blockers.

Responsibility 3: Cloud Transition & Service Reliability

Facilitate the transition to GCP (Google Cloud Platform) ensuring compliance with regulatory and process standards. Drive initiatives to improve service reliability across client-facing systems and monitor strategic programs from Mancom and ITSC.

Responsibility 4: Modernization Program Governance

Provide program-level oversight for the API Gateway & Authentication stack migration initiative through 2026. Ensure effective tracking of milestones interdependence and risks. Facilitate stakeholder alignment maintain governance routines and support timely decision-making to keep modernization efforts on schedule and within scope.

    Experience and Skills

    Qualification: Bachelors in IT/CSE
    Experience: Minimum 8 years of experience in the technology domain including at least 5 years in a role as an Application Engineer or Technical Lead or Engineering Lead involved in large-scale enterprise applications

    Travel: Flexibility to travel as needed
    Leadership: Executive presence and assertiveness
    Work Style: Self-starter ability to work independently handle ambiguous situations and exercise judgment in a variety of scenarios
    Communication: Strong communication organizational verbal & written skills
    Execution: High degree of responsibility and ownership strong multitasking coordination and tenaciously looking for ways to get results

    Must Have Skills

    • Strong expertise in designing and scaling REST/GraphQL APIs microservices API gateways versioning and lifecycle management
    • Deep understanding of API security (OAuth2 JWT mTLS rate limiting) and governance standards for enterprise and partner-facing APIs.
    • Proven ability to lead engineering teams conduct design/code reviews mentor engineers and drive engineering best practices
    • Experience with Agile methodologies and PI planning
    • Familiarity with cloud platforms preferably GCP
    • Proficiency in CI/CD governance and understanding of DevSecOps lifecycle

    Good to have Skills

    • Proven experience in managing large-scale modernization or transformation programs
    • Understanding of regulatory compliance frameworks (especially RBI guidelines)
    • Experience with Kong API Gateway or Ping Identity solutions
    • Expertise in Capex-Opex tracking and strategic financial planning
    • Exposure to Enterprise platform migrations
    • Knowledge of IT governance frameworks (e.g. COBIT ITIL)

    This is a hybrid position and involves regular performance of job responsibilities virtually as well as in-person at an assigned TU office location for a minimum of two days a week.
