Description
- This role serves as the central point of communication coordination and collaboration between various departments at Emory Healthcare under the leadership of the Director of patient financial services.
- This role involves reviewing assessing and optimizing processes related to registration pre-authorization coding billing collections reimbursement and financial analysis to enhance revenue generation and cash collections while ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.
- Strong leadership and ability to successfully manage stakeholder relationships analytical skills and a deep understanding of the end-to-end billing processes are essential for success in this position
- Oversees the entire revenue cycle from patient scheduling to final payment monitoring key performance indicators (KPIs) and implementing strategies to improve efficiency and maximize collections
- The Revenue Management Business Partner collaborates with operational leaders within Emory fostering strong relationships and collaboration with providers section leaders colleagues and staff.
- The role also entails analyzing revenue cycle data preparing financial reports for senior management and working with the IT department to optimize revenue cycle software and ensure seamless integration with other systems.
- In addition the Revenue Management Business Partner supervises and mentors staff providing training and professional development opportunities.
- Ensuring compliance with all relevant healthcare regulations the role includes developing policies and procedures to mitigate revenue cycle risks and maintain adherence to compliance standards.
- This leader is responsible for monitoring operations to ensure accurate billing and coding practices staying updated on regulatory changes and advising the organization on necessary adjustments.
- This position also involves organizing and directing revenue optimization initiatives managing staff performance and collaborating with colleagues to streamline departmental processes and improve the overall patient experience and revenue cycle.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
- Bachelors Degree in a healthcare or related field with 10 years healthcare experience or 8 years revenue cycle experience 4 of which must be supervisory
- OR any combination of equivalent education and experience
- In-depth knowledge of healthcare billing coding reimbursement and compliance regulations
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to interpret complex financial data and identify opportunities for improvement
- Excellent leadership and interpersonal skills with the ability to effectively manage a team and collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders
- Proficiency in revenue cycle management software and Microsoft Office suite
