The Facultys Development and Alumni Team is seeking a highly motivated and results-driven professional. This pivotal role is dedicated to advancing the schools strategic fundraising corporate engagement and internationalization objectives.
Qualifications and Qualities:
a bachelors degree in Business Marketing Communications or a closely related field;
a minimum of 7 years of progressive experience in fundraising business development or philanthropic relationship management with a strong preference for experience within a higher education or non-profit environment;
a proven track record of success in strategizing delivering and securing significant funding or partnerships including the ability to generate and deliver effective pitches;
an established strong network of contacts across the corporate and non-profit sectors (e.g. Chambers of Commerce Fortune 500 companies consulates and charitable foundations);
exceptional communication interpersonal presentation event planning and project management capabilities;
demonstrated capacity for self-motivation independent work and effective collaboration within a team setting; and
native or near-native command of English is required. Strong proficiency in Chinese (including Putonghua) is highly preferred.
Roles and responsibilities include:
The appointee will be responsible for a comprehensive portfolio focused on strategic growth and resource mobilization:
Strategic Business Development: formulating and executing sophisticated business development strategies to identify cultivate and secure high-value partnerships sponsorships and funding opportunities aligned with the Schools mission;
Relationship Management: establishing maintaining and strengthening strategic relationships with key stakeholders including corporate leaders government officials non-profit organizations alumni and prospective major donors;
Fundraising Leadership: designing and leading successful fundraising campaigns to secure philanthropic support for critical initiatives including scholarships endowed professorships research programs and campus development projects;
Proposal Development: creating compelling high-quality pitch presentations and formal proposals to secure financial support and collaborative agreements;
Event and Project Oversight: serving as the Person-In-Charge for the full management and delivery of high-profile quality event programming;
International Strategy: supporting the expansion of the Schools international partnerships and projects including monitoring the global business and geopolitical environment to identify and strategically engage key international stakeholders entering the Hong Kong market;
Performance Monitoring: continuously monitoring and evaluating the effectiveness of all development efforts providing proactive data-driven insights for continuous improvement and strategic refinement; and
Internal Alignment: collaborating closely with internal academic and administrative units to ensure fundraising and partnership objectives are fully integrated with the Schools overall strategic plan.
