This contract position is an exciting opportunity for healthcare professionals looking to make a significant impact in the medical practice industry while working on-site.

In this role you will be involved in providing high-quality patient care in cardiothoracic surgery collaborating closely with surgeons and other healthcare professionals to ensure the best outcomes for our patients. You will be part of a supportive environment that values teamwork and excellence in patient care.

Responsibilities

  • Assist in pre-operative and post-operative care for cardiothoracic surgery patients
  • Perform patient assessments and evaluations
  • Collaborate with surgical teams to develop and implement care plans
  • Administer medications and treatments as prescribed
  • Monitor patient progress and adjust care plans as necessary
  • Educate patients and their families about procedures and recovery
  • Participate in patient rounds and contribute to surgical discussions
  • Document patient care accurately in medical records

Requirements

  • Associate degree in Nursing or Physician Assistant studies
  • Current licensure as an NP or PA in the state of practice
  • Experience in cardiothoracic surgery preferred
  • Strong clinical assessment skills
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Commitment to providing compassionate patient care
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with a multidisciplinary team

Schedule: 24-hour call shifts specific dates

Will assist with complex cardiovascular surgeries

Team Structure: 1 surgeon 1 APPs

EMR: eCW

Endovascular Vein Harvesting certification required

Board certification required

Paid travel & expenses
