In this role you will provide high-quality healthcare services to pediatric patients collaborating closely with our experienced medical professionals to ensure optimal patient outcomes. Responsibilities
- Conduct thorough physical examinations and assess patients health status
- Diagnose and treat common pediatric illnesses and injuries
- Prescribe medications and develop treatment plans
- Educate patients and their families on health maintenance and disease prevention
- Collaborate with physicians and other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive care
- Maintain accurate and timely medical records
- Participate in patient care meetings and case discussions
- Stay current with pediatric medical practices and guidelines
Requirements
- Active Nurse Practitioner or Physicians Assistant license
- Associate degree or higher in a relevant field
- Experience in pediatric care preferred
- Strong clinical assessment and diagnostic skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
- Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment
- Commitment to providing compassionate patient care
- Knowledge of electronic health record (EHR) systems is a plus
Schedule: 8a-5p with callback after 5p specific dates
Daily Volume: 6-8 patients 3-4 admissions and discharges
Required Bedside Procedures: Neonatal resuscitation PIV placement arterial sticks umbilical line placement endotracheal intubation needle thoracostomy chest tube placement lumbar puncture etc.
No circumcisions required
EMR: Epic
Must be board-certified
