The Role

As our Japan Business Development Representative you will lead our BDR efforts in Japan. You will follow-up on marketing leads and also call-out on a specific target account list to build qualified pipeline for our Japan sales this role you will work closely with the Japan sales team as well as the demand generation and field marketing team in region; this is a unique opportunity for an experienced B2B inside sales to continue building Proofpoint international presence and accelerate our growth.

This role will be based in Tokyo Japan.

Your day-to-day

Throughout both inbound and outbound activities ensure we meet our lead follow-up SLAs meet our activity KPIs and ultimately over-achieve our objectives of qualified meetings for Japan

Gather actionable intelligence (competition projects purchase intent etc.) for the list of accounts that you will be responsible for

Execute cold-calling telephone-based campaigns to generate new sales prospects

Streamline optimise and localise outreach sequences to be used in your prospection efforts in collaboration with the demand generation team

Ensure sales and marketing interlock actively participate to quarterly regional sales meetings with the mid-market and enterprise teams

Collaborate with Demand Generation and Field Marketing to ensure you are supported with the right volume of Marketing Qualified Leads and Marketing Qualified Contacts

Develop cross-sell/up-sell as well as competitive take-out BDR programs to expend our footprint. Develop an account based BDR strategy.

Provide quarterly business reporting and analysis on your programs and campaigns run in the quarter

What You Bring To The Team

Experience in inside sales function in SaaS Cloud or IT Security enterprise software

Previous experience with solutions that can be deployed in private or public clouds a strong plus

Strong phone and interpersonal communication skills (verbal and written)

Requires highly motivated individual with a competitive personality and strong attention to detail

Good email automation (Outreach) and CRM (Salesforce) experience or be highly motivated to acquire such knowledge immediately

Experience with Account Based Marketing methodology and tactics

Ability to form strong partnerships internally with sales stakeholders

Resilience drive and adaptability to thrive in a fast-changing market

Ability to travel (approx. 10%) - Occasional travel to the Sunnyvale California US Corporate HQ as required including potential travel for company events such as the annual Sales Kick Off.
