Job Summary

Amazon Advertising is seeking an experienced Analytics & Insights Manager to join our growing Sales organization. This role is critical to scaling our advertising business by leveraging data and insights to enhance marketing strategies for major clients and drive advertiser success.
As an Analytics & Insights Manager you will serve as a strategic advisor to Sales teams (Account Executives and Account Managers) and advertisers delivering value through insights development measurement excellence and innovation leadership. You will work backwards from advertiser needs to develop actionable insights that help optimize ad spend effectively with Amazon Ads.

Key job responsibilities
Strategic Insights Analysis & Innovation
Develop and deliver bespoke analytical modules and insights that influence advertiser spending decisions and drive incremental revenue growth
Conduct deep-dive analyses to understand customer behavior campaign effectiveness and optimization opportunities translating complex data into clear actionable recommendations
Design and implement self-service analytics solutions and automated scalable tools that enable Sales teams to execute insights independently
Build measurement frameworks and KPIs to track campaign effectiveness ROI and influence advertiser budget allocation strategies
Drive continuous improvement initiatives to standardize best practices and enhance the speed and quality of insights delivery across the organization

Stakeholder Management & Collaboration
Work cross-functionally with Sales Product Marketing and Data Science teams to solve complex business problems and present findings to senior leadership and external clients
Act as a trusted advisor to Account Executives and Account Managers on analytics strategy supporting advertiser business reviews with comprehensive performance analysis
Manage multiple projects simultaneously while maintaining high standards of quality and accuracy
Mentor and develop junior team members on analytical methodologies and best practices
Foster a culture of data-driven decision making and share knowledge across teams to multiply impact beyond individual portfolios

The Amazon India Ads business functions as a strategic start-up with support and interest from business units across the company as well as Amazons top management. We are investing heavily in building a world class advertising business and are responsible for defining and delivering a collection of advertising products that drive awareness engagement discovery and sales. The work we do is strategically important to our Retail and Marketplace businesses for driving long term growth. We deliver billions of ad impressions and millions of clicks daily and are breaking fresh ground to create new cutting edge ad products. This role offers an opportunity to make a significant impact on the future vision for Amazon Ads in India

- Bachelors degree in a quantitative field such as statistics mathematics data science business analytics economics finance engineering or computer science or Bachelors degree
- Knowledge of writing and optimizing SQL queries in a business environment with large-scale complex datasets
- Experience with reporting and Data Visualization tools such as Quick Sight / Tableau / Power BI or other BI packages
- Experience in written and verbal communication with the ability to present complex technical information in a clear and concise manner to executives and non-technical leaders
- Knowledge of data analysis languages (e.g. R Stata Python etc.) or other statistical software
- Knowledge of methods for statistical inference (e.g. regression experimental design significance testing)

- Experience working in e-commerce
- 3 years of digital advertising product marketing consulting business development or other customer-facing role experience
- Experience in e-commerce or online advertising
- Familiarity with marketing analytics including marketing mix modeling multi-touch attribution and incrementality testing
