Job Description

We are seeking a highly organised and execution-focused Placement & Community Manager to lead end-to-end placement operations and ensure employment-ready beneficiaries transition into dignified job opportunities with BPOs and related service operators. The role will manage employer engagement candidate matching job-readiness support and post-placement retention systems while building strong employer pipelines and an active alumni community. The successful candidate will ensure fair inclusive and well-documented placement processes oversee community engagement teams and track employment outcomes to continuously improve placement retention and career progression results.

  • Lead end-to-end placement operations to ensure employment-ready beneficiaries
    transition into dignified job opportunities with BPOs and related service operators.
  • Develop and manage the placement workplan in alignment with training cohorts
    assessment cycles and employer demand timelines.
  • Build and maintain an employer and roles directory tracking open roles
    requirements hiring timelines locations and onboarding expectations.
  • Coordinate employer engagement activities including role briefings interview days
    hiring clinics onboarding check-ins and follow-up sessions.
  • Maintain a structured and up-to-date directory of employment-ready beneficiaries
    with verified training and assessment status.
  • Lead candidate matching and shortlisting processes coordinating interviews and
    assessments with employers and tracking outcomes through onboarding.
  • Ensure placement operations prioritise inclusion targets and apply fair transparent
    and well-documented selection processes.
  • Coordinate job-readiness activities such as CV clinics interview preparation
    workplace readiness sessions and basic contract literacy support.
  • Lead post-placement support and retention systems including structured check-ins
    issue resolution and escalation pathways.
  • Track post-placement outcomes including onboarding completion retention
    milestones role changes and progression indicators.
  • Design and manage the program alumni community including onboarding
    engagement calendars peer support mechanisms and career development
    activities.
  • Supervise and provide performance management for Community and Mobilization
    Officer(s) supporting outreach and learner engagement.
  • Maintain audit-ready documentation across placement alumni and community
    activities ensuring compliance with safeguarding and data protection requirements.
Skills & Requirements

Minimum Requirements

  • Bachelors degree in Business Administration Social Sciences Development Studies
    Communications or a related field (Masters degree is an added advantage).
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in talent placement employer engagement
    workforce development recruitment operations or career services preferably
    within BPO outsourcing or technology-enabled service environments.
  • Demonstrated experience managing structured placement pipelines and employer
    engagement processes with strong documentation discipline.
  • Proven experience managing teams and coordinating field operations across
    multiple locations.

Skills & Competencies

  • Strong employer engagement and relationship management skills.
  • Proven ability to manage talent matching processes including shortlisting interview
    coordination and onboarding follow-through.
  • High documentation and compliance discipline including audit-ready trackers and
    records.
  • Strong community and alumni management capability including engagement design
    and moderation.
  • Inclusion-aware approach to placement and community management with
    sensitivity to safeguarding and do-no-harm principles.
  • Data-informed mindset with the ability to analyze pipeline performance conversion
    rates and retention outcomes.
  • Excellent communication facilitation and coordination skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft 365 tools and familiarity with work management CRM and
    bulk communication tools.

Emerging Market Model Initiative (EMMI): Implemented in Nigeria in collaboration with several federal and state governments this program uses a blended learning approach to train 36000 youth in digital skills over a year.

Digital for All Challenge: This is a free large-scale digital skilling competition designed to drive digital literacy among youth (ages 16-45) across Nigeria with participants able to win prizes.

Basic Digital Education Initiative (BDEI): This program aims to train 500000 public school students (ages 8-18) and 5000 teachers in foundational digital literacy and STEM concepts.

Digital Skills for the Workplace (DSFW): This initiative focuses on equipping young Africans with top employable skills in areas like software development UI/UX design and cybersecurity through onsite/online learning and internship placements.
