Job Summary

  • Develop implement and maintain a robust HSE management system aligned with ISO 14001 and OHSAS 18001/ISO 45001 standards.
  • Conduct regular site audits risk assessments and safety inspections to identify hazards and ensure compliance with statutory regulations.
  • Lead incident investigation and root cause analysis ensuring timely corrective and preventive actions are implemented.
  • Coordinate and deliver comprehensive HSE training programs for all levels of staff including contractors and third-party vendors.
  • Monitor and report on key HSE performance indicators (KPIs) providing actionable insights to senior management.
  • Liaise with regulatory bodies government agencies and external auditors during inspections and certifications.
  • Ensure all safety documentation permits and records are up to date and readily available for review.
  • Promote a strong safety culture through leadership engagement initiatives and continuous communication.
  • Support emergency preparedness and response planning including drills and crisis management coordination.
  • Collaborate with operations engineering and maintenance teams to integrate HSE considerations into project planning and execution.


Requirements

  • Bachelors degree in Safety Engineering Environmental Science Industrial Engineering or a related field; postgraduate qualification or professional certification (e.g. NEBOSH CSP or OSHA) is highly desirable.
  • 510 years of progressive experience in HSE management within industrial or manufacturing environments preferably in petrochemical chemical or heavy manufacturing sectors.
  • Proven track record of managing HSE compliance in high-risk environments with zero tolerance for non-conformance.
  • In-depth knowledge of Indian safety regulations (Factories Act EPA FSI etc.) and international standards (ISO 45001 ISO 14001).
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to interpret data and drive evidence-based improvements.
  • Excellent communication presentation and interpersonal skills to engage diverse stakeholders across all levels.
  • Proficiency in HSE software tools and digital reporting systems for monitoring and documentation.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a cross-functional team under pressure and tight deadlines.



Required Skills:

Bachelors degree in Business Administration Economics Statistics Finance or a related field. 25 years of relevant work experience in data analysis business analytics or a similar role. Proficiency in Microsoft Excel (advanced functions pivot tables VLOOKUP macros). Experience with data visualization tools such as Power BI Tableau or Google Data Studio. Strong understanding of statistical concepts and data interpretation. Excellent analytical problem-solving and critical thinking skills. Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment. Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to translate complex data into clear actionable insights. Familiarity with SQL for data querying and extraction is a plus. Willingness to learn and adapt to new tools processes and business challenges.
