Job Summary

Job Title: DevOps & SRE Technical Project Manager

Experience: 15 years overall 5 years in Program / Technical Leadership
Work Model: Hybrid (3 days office / 2 days remote)
Notice Period: Immediate to 15 days only
Compensation: INRper annum

About the Role

We are seeking a highly experienced DevOps & SRE Technical Project Manager to lead large-scale DevOps and Site Reliability Engineering (SRE) transformation programs for enterprise customers. This role combines deep technical expertise in DevOps and SRE with strong program management stakeholder leadership and financial governance.

You will be responsible for driving end-to-end execution of complex transformation initiatives partnering with senior business and technology leaders to deliver measurable outcomes operational excellence and long-term value.

Key Responsibilities

Program & Delivery Leadership

  • Lead planning execution and successful delivery of enterprise-scale DevOps and SRE transformation programs
  • Own program budgets financials delivery margins and governance
  • Define program roadmaps milestones success metrics and execution plans aligned with business and technology goals
  • Track program KPIs and financial health; drive corrective actions and margin optimization

Technical & Strategic Leadership

  • Provide technical leadership and strategic guidance to cross-functional engineering platform and operations teams
  • Drive adoption of DevOps best practices across CI/CD release management automation observability and cloud-native workflows
  • Guide implementation of SRE practices including reliability engineering SLIs/SLOs incident management and performance optimization
  • Support GitHub migration initiatives including repository assessment migration planning execution troubleshooting and governance setup

Stakeholder & Risk Management

  • Partner with senior stakeholders to align delivery outcomes with business objectives
  • Identify program risks dependencies and blockers; proactively implement mitigation strategies
  • Facilitate strong collaboration and transparency across engineering product architecture and leadership teams
  • Deliver regular program updates highlighting progress risks challenges and improvement opportunities

Continuous Improvement & Innovation

  • Champion a culture of continuous improvement operational excellence and automation
  • Encourage adoption of emerging DevOps SRE and cloud-native technologies and practices
  • Ensure alignment with industry standards delivery frameworks and organizational best practices

Required Qualifications

Education

  • Bachelors degree in computer science Engineering Business Administration or a related technical discipline

Experience

  • 15 years of overall IT experience
  • 5 years in program management technical leadership or delivery management roles
  • Proven success leading large-scale DevOps and SRE transformation programs with measurable business impact

Must-Have Skills

  • DevOps principles and practices 5 years
  • SRE practices (SLIs/SLOs observability incident management) 5 years
  • CI/CD pipelines and automation frameworks 5 years
  • GitHub migration initiatives 3 years
  • Agile methodologies (Scrum Kanban) 5 years
  • Strong program governance risk management and financial oversight experience

Technical Expertise

  • CI/CD tools and pipelines
  • Infrastructure as Code (IaC)
  • Cloud platforms and cloud-native tooling
  • Monitoring observability and reliability engineering tools

Soft Skills

  • Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills
  • Strong leadership and team management capabilities
  • Analytical structured and results-driven problem-solving mindset

Preferred Qualifications

  • Certifications such as PMP PgMP ITIL Agile/Scrum Master or relevant technical certifications
  • Experience leading multi-team multi-vendor enterprise programs
