Executive Officer ()
The Department of Communication Studies offers Bachelor of Communication degrees in Advertising and Branding Public Relations and Organisational Communication. The appointee is expected to provide secretarial and administrative support to the academic programs. The appointee will work in a friendly environment to provide support in the day-to-day operations of the Department including but not limited to:
- Department project management;
- Student recruitment admissions and student record updating;
- Maintaining records of curriculum changes;
- Updating student study schedules; organising departmental activities/events such as workshops seminars and study tours; keeping department meeting minutes;
- Keeping records and compiling data and reports per University requirements; handling confidential records of students and staff;
- Liaising with external parties;
- Writing department reports; and
- Any other duties as assigned.
Requirements:
A bachelors degree or above with at least three years of relevant work experience; a good command of spoken English Cantonese and Putonghua; excellent English and Chinese writing skills; proficiency in computing applications particularly MS Office (Word Excel and PowerPoint) as well as Chinese and English word processing; self-motivated pleasant and able to work independently and in a team; and able to work under pressure and capable of being open.
Shortlisted candidates will be invited to attend a writing test.
The initial appointment will be made on a fixed-term contract of two years commencing as soon as possible. Re-appointment thereafter is subject to mutual agreement.
Salary will be commensurate with qualifications and experience.
