Job Description
ACCIONA Agua is seeking a Senior Process Engineer to join our Technical Services national team. This role focuses on leading process and mechanical engineering activities for water treatment projects including wastewater drinking water and desalination plants.
Lead process engineering activities across major water infrastructure projects ensuring efficient design planning and execution of process systems. This role is critical for delivering optimized solutions that meet technical safety and operational requirements while supporting organizational objectives and timelines.
Develop Project Methods
Prepare detailed process flow diagrams sketches and drawings illustrating steps and methods for task completion.
Review and validate designs to ensure efficient and safe construction methods.
Apply critical-thinking techniques to analyze technical data identify interdependencies and recommend evidence-based solutions.
Anticipate and resolve issues that could impact project objectives or user experience.
Generate innovative ideas to improve process efficiency and reliability.
Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams and leverage diverse expertise to overcome barriers.
Identify and share process improvements to enhance project effectiveness.
Manage Project Schedules
Analyze project schedules to identify critical path activities and float for process-related tasks.
Develop a logical work breakdown structure for process engineering scope to enable detailed planning and monitoring.
Assess logistics for procurement and delivery of process equipment and manage constraints effectively.
Track design packages across multiple sub-projects and monitor progress.
Prepare accurate cost and resource estimates for process engineering deliverables.
Define performance outcomes reporting and communication requirements for process milestones.
Identify and mitigate risks associated with process engineering activities.
Engage stakeholders to align process strategies with overall project objectives.
Manage Construction Engineering Activities
Implement planned steps and methods for process system installation and commissioning.
Ensure compliance with safety standards and apply systematic risk management.
Assess work outcomes and share lessons learned for continuous improvement.
Apply specialized knowledge of process systems in water infrastructure projects.
Apply Digital Engineering Tools
Use digital models for spatial awareness and planning of process systems.
Detect and resolve clashes before construction using 3D and BIM tools.
Perform accurate quantity take-offs and material estimates using digital software.
Required Skills and Competencies
Degree in Industrial Civil Chemical Mechanical Electrical or related engineering field.
Minimum 3 years experience in process design for desalination or water treatment.
Strong knowledge of membrane projections and digital engineering environments.
Excellent communication skills and ability to work autonomously and in teams.
Flexibility to travel interstate and overseas.
Spanish language skills are an advantage.
