Job Summary
This is a remote position.
Our client is a leading Australian provider of warehouse storage solutions with over 40 years of experience. They specialise in designing and supplying high-quality storage systems for industrial warehouses and retail stockrooms working with over 4000 customers across Australia and New Zealand.
JOB SUMMARY:
The Estimator will play a critical role in developing comprehensive and precise cost estimates for
various projects. This position involves collaborating with Design & Engineering /sales ensuring all
parts/ materials on the Drawings are quoted for.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Produce accurate and comprehensive cost estimates for proposed projects in a timely manner.
Review and analyse technical drawings specifications and other project documentation.
Conduct feasibility studies and risk assessments from proposed designs. (double-checking)
Ensure compliance with industry standards codes and regulations. (double-checking)
Communicate with trade partners and team members regarding new and current projects
Ensure timely completion of tasks
Understand scope of work to bid
Prepare cost analysis - small and ser.
Establish and maintain working relationships with vendors and subcontractors
Requirements
QUALIFICATIONS & SKILLS:
Prior experience in an estimation take-off role.
Proven experience in estimation within the engineering industry.
Understanding of engineering principles construction methods.
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Attention to detail and ability to work under pressure to meet deadlines.
Communication written and verbal (excellent)
Ability to read architecture plans (average)
Take off quantities correctly and in a timely manner (average)
Proficiency with Ms Excel and word (average)
Create emails and source pricing from external suppliers
Cost Estimation (average)
Filling in word proposals for the sales presentation
Risk Assessment (average)
attention to detail
Time-management and decision-making skills to meet deadlines
1 Attitude self-motivation and drive will be needed for remote positions.
