Department Head (HOD) – Projects

An incredible opportunity awaits you as Department Head (HOD) this role you will play a part in our dynamic Projects team delivering essential services for our business.

We are consolidating two technical delivery teams into a unified Projects organization to enhance operational efficiency in India and South Asia. Reporting to the Country Manager the Head of Projects will lead this department drive strategic initiatives and ensure successful delivery of engineering activities and projects. This role requires strong leadership technical expertise and a commitment to fostering customer-focused teams in alignment with KONGSBERG values.

What you will be doing

Coordinate project and technical delivery resources to meet regional and global contract requirements.
Drive competitiveness through cost-effective resource planning and continuous improvement.
Lead and mentor the Projects team focusing on people development and change management.
Ensure departmental capabilities align with Kongsberg Maritime strategy and demand for specialized technical disciplines.
Enhance processes in collaboration with HQ and regional offices to improve efficiency.
Manage departmental budget and report KPIs to stakeholders and HQ monthly.
Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to ensure successful project execution.
Responsible to develop and implement the growth strategy of the department in alignment with the Country and Company strategies.
Be part of the core Leadership team and work cohesively along with the other HODs to develop Kongsberg Maritime India.

We think you should have

Bachelors degree in engineering or a related field.
Degree in Business / Operations Management would be an added advantage
10-15 years of proven leadership experience in managing engineering teams.
Demonstrated success in project management and customer-focused delivery.
Strong network and stakeholder engagement skills.
