Junior Accountant Devon

We are pleased to be working exclusively on behalf of a respected and growing business based in Devon who are seeking a motivated Junior Accountant to join their finance team. This is an excellent opportunity for an ambitious individual looking to develop their accounting career within a supportive and well-established organisation.
About the Role
The Junior Accountant will support the wider finance team with the preparation of financial information day-to-day accounting tasks and month-end processes. This role offers exposure to a broad range of duties and is ideal for someone studying AAT or recently qualified at Level 3/4 or a graduate with a strong interest in finance.
Key Responsibilities
Assisting with the preparation of monthly management accounts
Processing invoices expenses and supplier payments
Reconciling bank accounts and ledger balances
Supporting month-end and year-end processes
Assisting with VAT returns and other statutory submissions
Maintaining accurate financial records and documentation
Supporting the finance team with ad hoc duties and reporting
Liaising with internal departments and external stakeholders as required
Requirements
About You
Studying AAT ) or recently completed or a finance graduate
Strong numerical and analytical skills
Good attention to detail and a methodical approach
Confident user of Excel and accounting software
Excellent communication and organisational skills
A proactive attitude with a willingness to learn and develop
Ability to work both independently and as part of a team
