We are seeking an Administrator Kaiwhakahaere to join the vibrant team at Carlaw Park Student Village in Parnell.
This is a key front-of-house role and the face of accommodation for our diverse community of 697 residents. You will be vital in providing an outstanding customer experience ensuring a safe and supportive living and learning environment for all.
You will thrive in this fast-paced position with a high variety of interactions. Your energy will come from helping and supporting our students visitors and key stakeholders while delivering essential operational support from our busy reception desk.
Your core responsibilities include:
Front Facing Customer Care: Act as the primary point of contact for residents and visitors. This includes managing incoming calls offering appropriate advice proactively engaging with residents to build a supportive community and facilitating tours for prospective students.
Administrative and Logistical Support: Provide comprehensive assistance discussing payment options with students managing key handling overseeing general office supplies and mail and acting as the key point of contact for contractors cleaners and other professional services.
Operational and Facilities Support: Assisting the Resident Manager with the effective day to day management of the property throughout the year (covering semester and conference accommodation). This includes supporting regular facility inspections for maintenance and cleaning quality assurance.
This is a full-time permanent position (37.5 hours per week). The salary range for this role is $60000 to $70000 negotiable depending on skills and experience.
The usual hours of work will be Monday - Friday 8:30 am 4:30 pm inclusive of an unpaid lunch period.

This role is ideal for an experienced Administrator or Receptionist with excellent communication skills who thrives in a dynamic environment where customer service is central to every operation.
We are specifically looking for someone who is customer service focused naturally putting the needs of residents and visitors first; process improvement driven always looking for ways to make daily operations smoother and more efficient; and a collaborative team player enjoying the close teamwork required with accommodation staff students and professional service providers.
E rapua ana mātou We are seeking
- Proven administrative experience ideally gained within higher education a large organisation or potentially a hotel or accommodation provider.
- Proficiency with Microsoft programmes and strong attention to detail.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- An extraverted personality that is energised by connecting with people and supporting student well-being.
- While not essential we would prefer candidates who hold a full clean NZ Drivers Licence and a current First Aid Certificate.
