Whats the role

The Strategy & Planning team forms a critical part of the Chief Operating Office (COO) in Group Customer Operations (GCO) driving strategic alignment transformation and operational excellence across the enterprise.

As an Analyst in the Strategy & Planning team you will be required to support delivery of project workstreams of larger deliverables or drive smaller projects partnering with a range of Business Units across GCO and Westpac more broadly. You will also support the team with executive-level reporting quarterly business reviews and play a critical role in supporting the thought leadership for GCO.

In addition to your contribution to Strategy & Planning team you will also be required to provide ongoing support to the GM Office assisting with a range of reporting and administrative activities at the request of the GCO GMs Business Manager and the Executive Assistant.

What do I need

  • Tertiary qualifications in Business Commerce Economics Finance or a related discipline.
  • Prior experience in financial services strategy consulting or business analysis is highly desirable but not essential. Recent graduates and junior analysts are encouraged to apply.
  • High proficiency in Microsoft PowerPoint and Excel is essential; familiarity with data visualisation tools (e.g. Power BI and SharePoint) are desirable.
  • Ability to break down complex problems synthesise data from multiple sources and derive meaningful insights.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to present findings clearly and confidently to senior stakeholders.
