Job Summary

The duties and responsibilities of the Technical Support Officer include:

Act as the technical and operational focal person for MNCH projects.

Conduct regular field visits to project areas and providers to ensure effective monitoring supportive supervision and identification of needs while helping overcome barriers or finding contextualized solutions to achieve project targets.

Coach and mentor CCFs and CMs in monitoring and supervising Community Health Service Providers to improve productivity and quality of care.

Work in close coordination with Sun Clinic Monitoring Officers to ensure smooth operations and improved project outcomes.

Take necessary action and provide solutions concerning service providers clinic assistants and other stakeholders within the assigned area.

Conduct advocacy area mapping and auditing for new recruitment during area expansion or when assessing business potential; assist in organizing new and refresher trainings as well as staff or provider meetings.

Supervise and verify that all project-provided commodities and materials are properly stocked stored and utilized in acceptable condition.

Review and verify monthly client reports and data provide constructive feedback for quality improvement and ensure timely submission to the MIS team.

Respond promptly to data errors or queries related to MCRs and assigned area reports.

Ensure efficient information flow and coordination among team members the Regional Manager and National teams.

Assist with supervisor or donor field visits as required by the program.

Track project deliverables and indicators continuously taking corrective action as guided by the supervisor.

Collaborate with partner organizations to enhance service delivery and community health impact.

Lead the SCH team in conducting new and refresher trainings and review meetings in collaboration with the CME and Learning & Talent Development teams.

Liaise with the M&E team on monitoring data and reporting-related matters and take appropriate follow-up actions.

Prepare and submit monthly narrative reports to the Regional Manager Field Office Manager and National team.

Perform any other relevant duties as assigned by the supervisor.


Qualifications :

Must hold an M.B.B.S degree (preferably with a valid SAMA license).

Willing and able to travel extensively including overnight stays within the assigned territory.

Proven work experience in community-based health projects or program management is advantageous.

Familiarity with the context and situation of project areas is preferred.

Key Skills

The key skills required for the position of Sr/ Technical Support Officer include:

Technical Knowledge: Strong understanding of health program areas territory management concepts and behavior change principles.

Operational Management: Ability to manage the assigned area efficiently and effectively to achieve targets; basic management skills are essential.

Communication: Good understanding of communication principles and the ability to effectively communicate with team members to drive behavior change.

Leadership: Strong leadership skills with the ability to guide and support team members under supervision.

Organizational Skills: Highly organized and capable of managing teams arranging review meetings and coordinating trainings for providers and team members.
