Job Summary
Our client in the agricultural sector is looking to appoint an energetic and hands-on Assistant Farm Manager to support the daily operations of their farm in Concession. The ideal candidate will have strong horticulture experience with blueberry farming experience being highly advantageous. This role suits someone who is driven practical and passionate about farming with the energy to lead from the front and grow within the business.

Main Responsibilities:
- Support the Farm Manager in the day to day running of the farm operations.
- Oversee horticultural activities including planting irrigation fertilisation and harvesting.
- Assist in managing blueberry production from planting through to post-harvest handling.
- Supervise farm staff ensuring productivity discipline and adherence to work standards.
- Monitor crop health and report any issues relating to pests diseases or yields.
- Ensure compliance with health safety and environmental standards on the farm.
- Assist with stock control equipment maintenance and general farm administration.
- Contribute ideas to improve efficiency output and overall farm performance.

Qualifications:
- Diploma or degree in Agriculture Horticulture or a related field is preferred.
- Proven experience in horticulture is essential.
- Experience in blueberry farming will be a strong advantage.
- At least 2 to 5 years experience in a farm supervisory or assistant management role is ideal.
- Clean valid Class 4 drivers licence essential.
