Job Summary

Major Responsibilities/Activities:

  • Develop strong working relationships with hiring managers to establish current and future hiring needs.
  • Develop cost effective state of the art recruiting strategies for each open position.
  • Manage a high volume of applications and while maintaining the applicant database.
  • Interview job applicants via phone and in-person to match their skills and qualifications as defined by job description and hiring manager ; evaluating applicant experience education training and skills.
  • Inform applicants of job openings and details such as duties and responsibilities compensation benefits schedules working conditions training programs and promotion opportunities.
  • Select qualified applicants and/or refer them to hiring manager follow up as needed.
  • Maintain records of applicants not selected for employment based on company retention schedule.
  • Work with the legal department on monitoring and implementing applicable HR laws and regulations by location (federal state local); assist the legal department on compliance investigations as needed.
  • Must be visible and openly accessible in assigned labs to serve as a coach mentor and counsel to employees at all levels.
  • Advise Senior Management HR and Legal of emerging issues or trends that may require focused attention to a positive work environment wage and hour compliance and/or data privacy.
  • Partner with Regional Safety and Compliance Manager to enforce a safe workforce focusing on a Safety Conscious Work Environment (SCWE). Ensure government and company Safety guidelines/requirements are followed.
  • Facilitate the timely investigation and resolution of employee concerns ranging from quality safety and people issues involving allegations of Harassment Intimidation Retaliation and Discrimination (HIRD). Maintain records in tracking system.
  • Work with the legal department on monitoring and implementing applicable HR laws and regulations by location (federal state local); assist the legal department on compliance investigations as needed.
  • Must be visible and openly accessible in assigned labs to serve as a coach mentor and counsel to employees at all levels.

  • Create reports and analyze data which may include turnover exit interviews engagement survey results and headcount reports. Identify trends and recommend action plans.
  • Serve as a subject matter expert for people development processes including performance management annual reviews succession planning training coaching and mentoring.
  • Assist in maintaining effective compensation and benefits administration for the business and/or labs.
  • Participates with CHRO in developing HR department goals objectives and systems.
  • Work with SVP Director of Operations and Regional Manager to deploy People strategies for assigned region.
  • Assess HR related training needs and develop appropriate web-based training programs facilitating training as needed.
  • Prepare employee communications as needed to support a positive work environment.
  • new approaches policies and procedures to effect continual improvements in efficiency of department and services performed.
  • Manage employee paperwork process and files assuring legal compliance.
  • Perform HR-related Compliance Audits.
  • Provide HR strategies aligned with operations business goals.
  • Partner with Safety Compliance and Radiation Safety on investigations as needed.
  • Partner and continuously maintaining business relationship with Ops SR management.
  • Attend leadership meetings and translate business needs into HR actions
  • Assist with employee terminations and ensure required paperwork and payments are processed appropriately.
  • Performs other related duties as required and assigned.

              Minimum Requirements:

              • A bachelors degree with a minimum of 8 years of Human Resources experience.
              • Expertise in local city and/or state employment laws of their assigned region
              • Oil or gas industry experience with an exposure to a variety of cross-function job assignments that include Safety Quality IT and Compliance.
              • Prior experience with HR strategy recruitment labor relations compensation benefits and HRIS.
              • Demonstrated ability to perform in a fast-paced multi-unit environment with competing demands; strong initiative and self-starter.
              • Considerable knowledge of principles and practices of HR administration including ability to maintain confidentiality.
              • Ability to multi-task with well-developed organizational analytical and follow-up skills.
              • Must maintain a professional demeanor with effective oral and written communication skills; excellent interpersonal presentation and negotiation skills.
              • Knowledge of Microsoft Office programs including Excel and PowerPoint; HRIS (e.g. Dayforce ADP UKG Workday etc.)
              • Must be willing to travel to locations within assigned Region and to the corporate office attend career fairs and other events as needed.
