An opportunity has become available for a Cardiac Data Manager and Administrator to join the SVPHS team.

About the role

We are looking for a Cardiac Data Manager to join our busy Surgical Services team. This role will play a pivotal part in supporting our Cardiology and Cardiothoracic Departments. You will work with Surgeons Nurses Cardiologists and internal teams to keep all data collection activities correct. This clinical data benchmarks the performance safety and quality in the delivery of healthcare services by collecting key clinical information from individual healthcare episodes that allow for risk adjusted addition the Data Manager is responsible for producing reports and analysing and internally auditing site-specific data.

Your responsibilities include but not limited to:

  • Ensure optimal clinical management of data under the supervision of key cardiac and cardiothoracic clinicians.

  • Ensure accurate collection documentation and archiving of data according to registry requirements.

  • Maintain the confidentiality of information regarding registry patients

  • Prepare and maintain data relating to the registries ensuring quality control monitoring and auditing

  • Maintain databases of registry patients

  • Ensure suitable patients are identified for each registry

  • Call patients as part of follow-up for the registries

  • Demonstrated capability to manage competing priorities while driving process and system improvements.

  • Strong analytical mindset with a commitment to data integrity confidentiality and continuous improvement.
