Position Summary: The PTT Project Support Assistant is responsible for supporting the financial management and analysis of the JCCC Foundations endowed and restricted funds. This role ensures accurate accounting timely reporting and thoughtful analysis of fund balances to support donor intent and long-term sustainability. The position requires strong accounting skills attention to detail and the ability to translate financial information into clear insights for colleagues and external partners. The position is remote with limited on-campus meetings and a flexible schedule of 10-12 hours/week.

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelors degree in accounting finance or related field; nonprofit accounting experience preferred.
  • Minimum 35 years of accounting/finance experience ideally within a nonprofit or foundation setting with donor fund accounting and restricted fund management.
  • Proficiency in accounting software (e.g. Blackbaud or similar) and Excel.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret and communicate complex financial information clearly.
  • Detail-oriented with excellent organizational and time management skills.
  • Ability to work independently in a part-time flexible schedule environment.

Position Details: Job duties include but are not limited to:

  • Reconcile and communicate monthly fund balances. Review reports with supervisor for accuracy and communicate balances with appropriate fund partners. Manage questions and update requests from these partners.
  • Support conversion to new online payment management software housed in Blackbaud Financial Edge. Position will create approval flow charts through the Dean-level to support campus-wide visibility into unique funds.
  • Assist with clean-up of endowed and spendable funds that are inactive or need to be redirected. This includes fund research and communication to donors on changes to these funds.
  • Perform additional financial analysis and accounting duties as assigned.
