As an NP or PA you will play a crucial role in assessing diagnosing and treating patients in critical care and neurology settings. Your expertise will directly contribute to our mission of delivering exceptional healthcare services working closely with a multidisciplinary team to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
Responsibilities
- Conduct thorough patient assessments and evaluations
- Develop and implement individualized care plans
- Monitor patients progress and adjust treatment plans as necessary
- Collaborate with physicians and healthcare teams
- Provide education and support to patients and their families
- Document patient care activities and maintain accurate records
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives
- Stay current with advancements in critical care and neurology practices
Requirements
- Associates degree in Nursing or relevant field
- Current NP or PA certification and state licensure
- Experience in critical care and neurology settings preferred
- Strong clinical assessment and diagnostic skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment
- Proficient in electronic medical record (EMR) systems
- Commitment to ongoing professional development and education
- Level I Trauma
Schedule: 3x 13-hour shifts per week
Rotate days nights weekends and holidays
9-bed Neurosciences Critical Care Unit expanding to 12 beds
Duties: Patient history and physical exams developing and executing diagnostic and treatment plans interpreting lab work imaging and physiological data and procedures
Required Procedures: Central and arterial line placements
Team Structure: 5 neurointensivists and 10 APPs
Experience: 1 years in critical care ICU or neurology
EMR: Epic
Must be board-certified
