Description
This contract position is an on-site opportunity that offers a unique chance to contribute to patient care in a fast-paced medical practice environment.
In this role you will provide anesthesia care to patients undergoing surgical procedures collaborating closely with surgeons and medical staff to ensure optimal outcomes. Your expertise will be crucial in managing anesthesia plans and monitoring patients throughout the surgical process thereby enhancing the quality of care we provide.
Responsibilities
- Administer anesthesia to patients undergoing surgical and diagnostic procedures
- Conduct pre-anesthetic assessments and develop anesthesia care plans
- Monitor patient vital signs and adjust anesthesia levels as necessary
- Collaborate with surgical teams to ensure patient safety and comfort
- Provide post-anesthesia care and evaluate patients recovery
- Educate patients and families regarding anesthesia procedures and safety
- Document all aspects of anesthesia care in accordance with regulations
- Participate in quality assurance and continuous improvement initiatives
Requirements
- Associate degree in Anesthesia or related field
- Current certification as an Anesthesiologist Assistant or CRNA
- Strong clinical skills and knowledge of anesthesia techniques
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment
- Strong problem-solving and critical thinking abilities
- Experience in a medical practice setting is preferred
- Commitment to patient safety and quality care
Schedule: 7a-5p 4 days per week
No call or weekend shifts
Patient Volume: 15 per day
Case Types: Adult bread & butter
4:1 medical supervision
EMR: Epic
Board certification required
Paid travel & expenses
