JOB SUMMARY
This position is responsible for category marketing product development and sourcing. This includes utilization of project management for marketing projects in his/her assigned category. Management of these duties encompasses the following: Development of new products from conception to introduction into the marketplace; value engineering existing products; development supervision and implementation of market plans; sales forecasting; establishing procedures for implementing product changes among departments and branches; responsiveness to field complaints; competitor analysis. This position will be reporting to the Country Manager.
*Key Responsibilitie s
• Plan inventory and coordinate with project schedules to ensure timely product delivery.
• Identify and report gaps in product/service offerings; recommend suitable sourcing partners.
• Liaise with testing agencies and shipping departments for product testing and dispatch.
• Monitor and update the team on testing outcomes and shipment statuses.
• Act as the subject matter expert for assigned product categories including market and competition trends.
• Develop and maintain annual and five-year strategic plans for the assigned category.
• Conduct in-depth analysis of market manufacturing and financial trends; propose actionable recommendations.
• Perform regular product audits and competitive analysis to recommend improvements.
• Support and initiate quality assurance activities within the assigned product category.
• Collaborate with Marketing Communications to develop and execute marketing tools and materials.
• Plan and manage trade show participation and promotional campaigns.
• Generate and refine new product ideas; prepare for internal presentations.
• Integrate new product launches with sales strategies pricing and promotions.
• Coordinate with Sales Customer Service and external stakeholders to define product specifications and forecasts.
• Work cross-functionally with internal departments and external consultants for seamless project execution. Address and resolve issues related to new product introductions or changes.
• Track sales forecasts analyze trends and recommend corrective actions or opportunities.
• Conduct market research to assess sales potential and customer needs.
• Monitor and analyze competitor products pricing and marketing strategies.
