Job Title: ABAP Team Lead SAP AMS Project
Location: Thane Mumbai
Job Type: Full-Time
Experience: 6 years in SAP ABAP on HANA development with at least 2 years in a team lead role
Job Summary:
We are seeking an experienced ABAP Team Lead to manage and guide a team of ABAP developers in an SAP AMS environment. The ideal candidate will have deep expertise in ABAP development strong leadership capabilities and experience in delivering support and minor enhancements across multiple SAP modules. This role requires close collaboration with functional consultants business stakeholders and the AMS delivery team.
Key Responsibilities:
Lead a team of ABAP developers in daily AMS support minor enhancements and incident resolution.
Act as the primary technical point of contact for ABAP-related issues and development requests.
Allocate and manage development tasks within the team ensuring timely delivery and quality.
Review and validate technical specifications and ensure adherence to SAP development standards and best practices.
Coordinate with functional teams and users to understand requirements and deliver technical solutions.
Handle performance tuning code optimization and debugging of complex ABAP programs.
Support incident problem and change management processes in accordance with SLAs.
Participate in regular status meetings prepare technical documentation and report team progress.
Ensure proper knowledge management and documentation practices within the team.
Mentor junior developers and support their professional development.
Required Skills and Experience:
Minimum 8 years of experience in SAP ABAP development and ABAP on HANA.
At least 2 years in a leadership or senior developer role within an SAP AMS environment.
Additional advantage if you have strong technical knowledge of:
o DBM-specific enhancements and customizations
o Vehicle management service orders job cards
o Warranty processing and claims
Strong hands-on experience with classical and object-oriented ABAP ALV BAPIs BADIs User Exits Smart Forms SAP Scripts and Adobe Forms.
Good knowledge of Enhancements IDocs RFCs BDC and ABAP Proxies.
Solid understanding of incident change and release management processes in an AMS.
Excellent communication and coordination skills.
Ability to manage priorities and work under pressure in a global support environment.
Preferred Qualifications:
Exposure to S/4HANA and CDS Views AMDP or OData services is a plus.
Certification in SAP ABAP or related modules is an advantage.
