Responsibilities
We are looking for a Medical Assistant to join our Community Health Partners team! As part of a collaborative team you will support the medical practice providers and nurses in providing medical or technical procedures and assists with patient flow and care. Specific duties include taking vital signs giving handouts graphing height weight blood-pressure giving injections and ensuring that appropriate tests are completed prior to doctors examination.
Qualifications
Education & Experience
- High School Diploma High School Equivalency (HSE) or Completion of a CHS Approved Individualized Education Plan (IEP) Certificate required
- Completion of a course of study consistent with the requirements for Medical Assistants as specified by the Medical Board of California required
- 3 months of experience in the medical field required
Licenses and Certifications
- BLS - Current Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Providers by American Heart Association (AHA) required
