Description
As a Locum Urology Physician you will play a crucial role in delivering patient-centered care ensuring that individuals receive the necessary treatments and interventions. This role involves collaborating with healthcare professionals to enhance patient outcomes and contribute to the overall success of our medical staffing initiatives.
Responsibilities
- Provide comprehensive urological assessments and diagnoses
- Develop and implement treatment plans for patients
- Perform urological procedures as needed
- Collaborate with nursing and support staff to ensure quality care
- Maintain accurate and timely patient records
- Communicate effectively with patients and their families
- Participate in case reviews and clinical meetings
- Stay updated on the latest advancements in urology
Requirements
- Medical Doctor (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathy (DO) degree
- State medical license in good standing
- Experience in urology or related field preferred
- Strong clinical skills and patient management abilities
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment
- Commitment to continuous learning and professional development
- Flexibility to adapt to varying patient needs and schedules
Schedule: 24-hour call shifts Monday-Wednesday
Monday: Surgery 7a-2p clinic 3p-5p
Tuesday-Wednesday Clinic 8a-5p
Level IV Trauma
Patient Volume: 17 per day
Duties: Attending to clinic patients on-call for hospital emergencies and admissions and performing surgeries
Procedures are required
Support Staff: Clinic MA and RN perioperative nurses
EMR: Meditech eCW
Must be board-certified or board-eligible
