Job Description
QUALIFICATIONS:Valid Arkansas Teaching Certificate
REPORTS TO:Building Principal
JOB GOAL:To aid and support teachers in implementing the instructional program.
PERFORMANCE RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Provide instructional support services in the areas of math and/or literacy under the direct supervision of a highly qualified teacher.
- Assist in planning and implementing the learning environment setting up learning centers and preparing needed materials and supplies.
- Provide in-person individualized and small group instruction as directed by the classroom teacher.
- Monitor student work as assigned by the classroom teacher.
- Praise and reinforce the achievement of students.
- Report student progress to the classroom teacher.
- Work with the classroom teacher to assess student progress.
- Debrief daily regarding student performance and instructional interaction.
- Maintain records for state/federal reporting and complete and submit all required tracking information for theSpecial Education Department.
- Attend District/School required Professional Development sessions as assigned.
- Must be able to provide virtual services during school closures only.
- Perform duties under the direction of the classroom teacher.
- Must be proficient in technology/educational technology.
- Maintain excellent work attendance.
- Maintain confidentiality of student information.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
TERMS OF EMPLOYMENT:
Salary Range:$31.25/hour Student Day; $25.00/hour Professional Development
Length:Length: Monday - Friday 8:30 a.m. - 3:00 p.m.6 hours/day (Up to 170 DAYS)
