Locum Anesthesiology CRNA

Job Title: Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist (CRNA) - New Hampton IA

Job Responsibilities:

• Provide anesthesia care for cataract patients and other surgical procedures.
• Maintain a schedule of guaranteed 8-hour shifts with flexibility.
• Work independently in the operating room while collaborating closely with surgeons and other healthcare providers.
• Manage pre-anesthetic assessments and post-anesthesia recovery of patients.
• Handle a variety of surgical cases including general surgery for adults and pediatrics nerve blocks IV regional anesthesia among others.
• Participate in continuous education and training relative to anesthesia protocols and practices.
• Engage with operating room staff including surgical techs and nurses to ensure optimal patient care.

Qualifications:

• Completion of an accredited Nurse Anesthesia program.
• Minimum of one year of experience; new graduates are not accepted.
• Ability to perform a range of anesthesia techniques and manage ventilation.
• Proficient with the EPIC electronic medical record system or willingness to complete training.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills to work effectively with a diverse team.

Licensure and Certification Requirements:

• Current certification from the National Board of Certification and Recertification for Nurse Anesthetists (NBCRNA) - REQUIRED
• Active Iowa state nursing license - REQUIRED
• Current certification in BLS ACLS and PALS - REQUIRED
• COVID-19 vaccination - REQUIRED
• Must be local or within driving distance - REQUIRED
