Job Title: Locum Physician - Radiology
Facility and Practice Overview
Join a dynamic and supportive medical team at a hospital-based facility in Springfield Massachusetts. This position is ideal for an Interventional Radiologist looking to engage in a practice that combines both clinical and remote work with opportunities to make a difference in patient care.
The facility has a robust team of Radiologists accommodating a diverse patient demographic ranging from adolescents to geriatric patients. With an annual ER volume of 120 patients per day the need for an experienced radiologist is paramount. Coverage is required starting in February 2026 with the possibility of extending depending on organizational needs.
Job Responsibilities
- Perform diagnostic imaging including Mammography MRI CT and Ultrasound.
- Conduct interventional procedures such as breast and thyroid FNA.
- Utilize teleradiology to provide remote services 2-3 days per week as needed.
- Collaborate with support staff for efficient patient care and imaging operations.
- Maintain accurate documentation using Epic/PowerScribe/PACS systems.
Qualifications
- Board Certified or Board Eligible in Radiology - REQUIRED
- Experience in interventional procedures and comprehensive imaging techniques.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle diverse patient populations.
License and Certification Requirements
- Active Massachusetts License or an application initiated at least 3 months prior - REQUIRED
- Current ACLS and BLS certifications - REQUIRED
- Submission of a NPDB self-query report pulled within the last month or within 90 days - REQUIRED
- 25k Conversion Fee - REQUIRED
