Job Opportunity: Locum to Perm - Physician - Radiology
Join our team at a leading medical facility located in Springfield MA! We are currently seeking a dedicated and experienced Interventional Radiologist for a locum to permanent position starting in February 2026. The hospital environment fosters collaboration and is equipped with advanced technology to provide excellent patient care. Experience working with a diverse patient demographic is important within a supportive team of radiologists.
Job Responsibilities:
- Perform and interpret a range of imaging studies including mammography MRI CT PET/CT nuclear medicine ultrasound and pediatric studies.
- Conduct interventional procedures such as breast and thyroid fine needle aspiration (FNA).
- Collaborate with a team of radiologists to ensure quality and timely diagnoses.
- Utilize electronic medical record systems (Epic/PowerScribe/PACS) for documentation purposes.
- Provide tele-radiology services remotely 2-3 days per week as needed.
- Engage with an average of 120 ER patients daily and assist in managing patient care for a wide age demographic.
Qualifications:
- Board Certified or Board Eligible in Radiology.
- Active Massachusetts Medical License.
- ACLS and BLS certification required.
- Experience in a hospital-based setting preferred.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
License and Certification Requirements:
- Current MA Medical License - REQUIRED
- Board Certification or Board Eligibility - REQUIRED
- ACLS and BLS certifications - REQUIRED
- 25k Conversion Fee - REQUIRED
- Copy of the NPDB self-query report - REQUIRED must be recent (within the last month or within 90 days).
