Job Description

Job Description:

  • Customer Account Management:

  • Assist in setting up new customer accounts and maintaining existing customer credit records.

  • Ensure all customer credit applications are correctly processed and approved.

  • Handle and resolve queries from customers regarding invoices payment terms and credit limits.

  • Monitor customer accounts to track overdue payments and support in following up on outstanding invoices.

  • Credit Support & Documentation:

  • Collect and review financial data and documents to assist in assessing the creditworthiness of customers.

  • Assist in conducting credit checks on new and existing clients using external credit agencies.

  • Ensure customer credit files are complete accurate and updated regularly.

  • Payment Processing & Reconciliation:

  • Process customer payments and accurately allocate them to the appropriate accounts.

  • Reconcile customer accounts to resolve discrepancies in billing and payments.

  • Assist in issuing customer statements invoices and credit notes as required.

  • Work with the accounts receivable team to ensure accurate and timely payment allocation.

  • Debt Collection & Follow-up:

  • Support the Credit Controller in the collection of overdue payments.

  • Send payment reminders and assist in negotiating payment plans with customers.

  • Liaise with customers to resolve any disputes or issues related to invoices or payment terms.

  • Escalate accounts with significant overdue balances to the Credit Controller for further action.

  • Reporting & Communication:

  • Assist in preparing reports on the status of receivables outstanding

  • balances and customer credit limits.

  • Provide regular updates to the Credit Controller on the progress of debt collection and account status.

  • Maintain clear communication with the sales finance and customer service teams regarding credit matters.

  • Support in Policy Implementation:

  • Assist in the implementation of credit policies and procedures to ensure compliance with company guidelines.

  • Provide suggestions for process improvements to enhance the efficiency of credit control operations.
