We are seeking a Medical Accounts Administrator for a permanent role based in East London Eastern Cape.
Duties & Responsibilities
Applicants are required to meet the following criteria:
- Grade 12 with proven experience in a medical administration / healthcare related finance role (non-negotiable)
- Solid knowledge of medical aids billing systems and claim processes
- Strong communication skills both verbal and written
- Ability to handle sensitive information with professionalism and confidentiality
- Previous experience in debt recovery or a similar field beneficial
- Proficiency in office software and medical administrative tools
The successful applicant would be responsible for but not limited to:
- General administrative duties including managing patient records filing and office coordination
- Phone communication with patients and medical aid providers to follow up on outstanding debts
- Liaise with medical aids to query and resolve claims issues
- Assisting with payment tracking from patients and medical aids
- Respond to inquiries from patients medical aids and healthcare professionals
