Job Description

Provides triage of all referrals to the Journey Program. Provides developmentally appropriate clinical care and advocacy for grieving individuals and families by applying knowledge and skill that promotes healing prevents significant developmental disruption and reduces psychological stress during the grieving process. Assist in promotion of culturally appropriate family-centered care and wellness to grieving individuals and families by identifying interpreting and reducing psychosocial factors contributing to prevention of healthy grief process and expression. Assess coordinate and plan programs and activities to meet the social and emotional needs of grieving families. Provide psychoeducation and crisis intervention when appropriate and assist families in understanding the implications and complexities of the grieving process.

Required Education and Experience
Bachelors degree in Child Life Child Development Social Science or related degree in Social Work (BSW) from a school of social work accredited by the Counsel on Social working with infants toddlers school-age children and adolescents and adults in a therapeutic working with diverse performing administrative duties preferably in a medical in Microsoft Office EPIC or other health care charting and flexibility to work evening night and weekend shifts.

Required Credentials


Preferred
Masters degree in Social Work (MSW) from a school of social work accredited by the Counsel on Social Work clinical experience in working with children and families in acute care settings and dealing with all aspects of care including but not limited to crisis intervention protective services mental health end of life and knowledge and experience in working with multicultural/diverse Certified Child Life Specialist certification within one-year of employment.

Compensation Range

$31.28 - $46.93 per hour

Salary Information

This compensation range was calculated based on full-time employment (2080 hours worked per calendar year). Offers are determined by multiple factors including equity skills experience and expertise and may vary within the range provided.
