As a Senior Sales Support Consultant within GCI youll be the essential conduit between the sales execution teams and the product group providing steadfast support for the Medium Tractor Products (MTP) product line which encompasses medium tractors (D6-D8) track type loaders and pipelayers.

Your daily responsibilities will include facilitating communication ensuring the needs and feedback from both sides are understood and acted upon. While technical knowledge is a plus your soft skills will take center stage as you navigate customer interactions team negotiations and problem-solving. Youll collaborate strategically with application specialists offering market insights to complement their technical know-how. With experience in commercial or marketing functions youll apply your seasoned expertise to enhance product positioning and sales strategies. As the linchpin of the product group your ability to blend soft skills with strategic insight will shape the customer experience and drive the commercial triumph of our products.

What Youll Do:

  • Consultation and Implementation: Engage withproduct groups districts and dealersto develop and implement solutions that enhance thevalue and pricingof products.

  • Business Plan Optimization: Identify and address anyshortfallsin the business plan while also seizing opportunities forincremental sales.

  • Problem Resolution: Track record of tackling issues affectingproduct performanceandcommercial successwithin the territory. MonitorPINS trendsdemand changes andcustomer needs.

  • Prospect Development: Cultivatenew prospects solidifycustomer relationships and explore opportunities tointroduce products and servicesto the market

  • Data Analysis: Ability to analyze data to create information that drives decisions will be on display regularly.

Additional Details:

  • Work location is Peoria IL

  • Travel domestically and internationally up to 25% of the time is required mainly within Americas North

  • This position requires working onsite 5 days per week

Summary Pay Range:

$126000.00 - $189000.00

Compensation and benefits offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors job level market locationjob-related knowledge skills individual performance and experience. Please note that salary is only one component of total compensation at Caterpillar.
